What services does Tidewater Taxi & Tours offer?

Tidewater Taxi & Tours offers customizable boat tours and charters in Prince William Sound, Alaska. Our services include wildlife viewing, glacier encounters, and guided hiking adventures. We specialize in creating tailor-made experiences based on your preferences and the weather conditions.

What is the cost of the tours?

The cost of the tours are as follows:
4-hour tour: $200 per person
6-hour trip: $250 per person
8-hour trip: $325 per person

How do I book a tour with Tidewater Taxi & Tours?

To book a tour, please call Gabe to arrange your charter. A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation, with the remaining 50% due on the day of the trip.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you cancel at least two weeks prior to the trip, you will receive a full refund minus a $20 transaction fee. If the trip is canceled due to weather, you will also receive a full refund minus the transaction fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the trip, a full refund may be provided if the tour can be rebooked (minus a $20 transaction fee).

What should I bring with me on the tour?

Please bring waterproof shoes, layered clothing including rain gear, warm layers, sunglasses, and a personal water bottle. If you plan on fishing, have your Alaska State license and a King Salmon stamp ready.

What are the amenities on the boat?

The boat is fully enclosed and equipped with a flushable toilet and a cabin heater to keep you warm.

What time do the tours usually leave

4-hour trips usually leave at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM,
6-hour trips at 10:00 AM,
and full-day trips at 9:00 AM.

How many people are needed for a tour?

A minimum of five people is required to run a trip, or you can book the boat for a private tour.

Are the tours suitable for all ages and fitness levels?

Yes, our tours cater to all ages and fitness levels. We offer a range of activities from gentle forest walks to more challenging mountain treks.

What wildlife might I see on the tour?

Prince William Sound is home to a rich array of wildlife including whales, bears, moose, seals, sea otters and eagles. Our tours offer ample opportunities for wildlife spotting.

How do I get to Whittier?

Whittier is accessible through a one-way tunnel from Portage. The tunnel operates on a schedule, leaving Portage on the half-hour and leaving Whittier on the hour. There is a one-time fee at the Portage entrance.

Can I go fishing on the tour?

Yes, fishing is one of the activities you can enjoy on our tours. Please make sure to have your Alaska State fishing license and a King Salmon stamp ready if you plan on fishing.
